How to choose the best of French press coffee pot

/

The first step, and more important to make the best pot of French press coffee is a good meal. The particle size of coffee is important to the French press pot of coffee, because you need other reasons. These reasons should always be as uniform as possible in size and not too small. If the coffee on the ground are too small (eg, size espresso), preferably, you'll find yourself with lots of liquid mud. This mill is a good game. Select "Grinder" Burr on a model of blade and you get to be ground perfectly evenly, without particles.Your small or large French producer of coffee press is an extremely patchy, milling, minus the "mud" at the bottom of cup.
It very important, the more beautiful your coffee, the more difficult once you have the French press is not so much a part plunger. This grind when you invest in a French maker of quality, but keep in mind, larger models, making it difficult to maintain firmly and you need to use more strength to do it. If the coffee, the French press is equipped with a nylon filter freeness can be very useful if you need a metal filter. Whatever filter you have, the coarse grinding should always be an automatic or drip coffee grind.
The first quality of French press coffee, buy coffee beans. They not as fresh as possible, but. The French press is unique, it is necessary to ensure the coffee beans are roasted fresh in the four or five days, because they have large amounts of carbon dioxide to be used. Carbon can cause problems with the beer, especially frothy brown residue that can spill your French press. Give your fresh beans to rest for a while 'before you use your French press coffee.

LaCafetiere Optima 3 Cup Coffee Press, Chrome Reviews

/

I think it is a shame there are no reviews for this little gem.

Since I'm the first reviewer I wanted to list a few bullet points you should know:

1) This press makes about 1 standard (USA) sized cup of coffee.
2) This is not a heavy-duty press and will not travel well.
3) All the parts that touch the coffee are either steel or glass

I added #3 because it was particularly important that plastic never come in contact with my coffee.

The quality of this press is pretty good for the price. The glass is thin as is the chrome holder. The plunger itself is well made and I'm very impressed with that part. Overall it has the feel of an item you'll need to be careful with (you won't be throwing it in your backpack) but it isn't flimsy either.

My main concern with this lower priced item was that the plunger would be of inferior quality. That turned out not to be the case. The plunger slides down the sides of the glass smoothly and catches all the floating grinds. Of course it leaves a bit of "mud" at the bottom of your cup but all presses do that unless you want to attach a paper filter. Besides, most of the benefit of a press is leaving behind more of the tastes and smells that are filtered out in standard drip machines.

To minimize "mud" I recommend getting a burr grinder and grinding your own coffee. To get to the highest levels of coffee nirvana you'll also need to roast your own beans. But you can start here for a reasonable price and see if you want to try other more advanced coffee-making methods.

Customer Reviews :

" This is a nice little coffee press. It does what I expect it to, and it's easy to clean. The only thing that threw me off a little was that the instructions say to use a coarse grind, but I found the coffee was better with a medium grind, since I don't mind a little sludge and I like my coffee really dark."
