Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System, Reviews

/

The Keurig B60 Special Edition coffee maker will brew great coffee, tea, and hot cocoa cup after cup. Since it only makes one cup at a time, there's less waste, and better tasting coffee. The K-Cups as they are called are plastic-lined and are hermetically sealed with nitrogen gas to preserve the flavor of the coffee, cup after cup. Each K-Cup is pre-mixed, and premeasured with a coffee filter in place to give you the best flavored coffee anywhere. We've had this unit in our office for about 4 months now, and everyone agrees that the coffee just tastes better, and is much cheaper than our in-house coffee vendors. You can switch between flavored, and non flavored coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. The Green Mountain Hot Cocoa is the best around. Accomodating larger cups, mugs, and travel mugs, this unit is very versatile. Keurig also make other models that have more features, and can make larger portions for larger offices. The B-60 is just fine for our small office. I've been so impressed with this unit that I gave this as a present to some of my friends this year for Christmas. The money saving coupons that are included in the box, along with a sample pack of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, are very good, and they will direct you to coffee vendors in your area. My coffee vendor delivers direct to my door every month or so, and its a great convenience.

Review :

"I've purchased the Keurig B50 model (which is basically the same but with only two serving sizes rather than the three in the B60) from Amazon over a year ago. It is still just as great as the day we purchased it. Well worth the money we spent and it has been used more than any other coffee maker we've owned.

My husband likes coffee, I prefer tea, and the kids love hot chocolate. With this brewing system, my tea never tastes like coffee and the kids can have hot water for their cocoa, or even cup-o-soup, in seconds. Keurig offers a delicious Ghiradelli hot chocolate, but any hot-water mix will work well. I also feel it's a bit safer for the kids to use - no pouring hot water from the tea kettle, so there's less chance of a spill.

If the K-Cups seem like too much of an expense, or if you're concerned about wasteful trash, there is a reusable filter available for about $15 that can be used with your own favorite ground coffee/tea. I also use regular tea bags with the plain hot water from the machine.

As for filling the water reservoir, if you remove it from the machine, it can be a bit clumsy to replace after filling. I usually use a small pitcher of water to fill the reservoir without removing it, just like filling an old-fashioned coffee maker." See more reviews....
