Hi, I would be extracting about 28-30 mls of espresso for a cappuccino, however their are some cultural differences that apply. We use 1/7ths espresso to a cup/glass here, for example, if we use a 210ml cup, we will put 30 mls in. In Italy, because everyone's drinking espresso and not much milk coffees they use a delicate coffee (low body, low acidity etc.), so the good places will put a 30ml shot even for a 150ml cup.

This press is great! I just broke my Bodum Chambard, which is glass, after five years of use. I had the 32 oz., which was far larger than necessity dictated. "I've had lots of french presses, but this one is just great, having broken the glass container on my last one (again!) it was time for me to look for a new one, and how great is it!

All metal container and thermal on top of it!
The mesh looks like the standard Bodums, and the lid contains a plastic lip that can close the pouring orifice to keep the heat in (by twisting the cover till the arrow points to the exit)!
Ok the thermal part doesn't last forever, but personally if I don't drink it within 2 hours I make a new pot anyway.. freshness, that's why I got a French Press in the first place anyway!

I drink in those big cups of coffee at home, this size fits about 1 1/2 of the big (double-cups)style mugs, Perfect!

I have gone through so many coffee makers and money looking for that one coffee maker that makes good hot coffee and doesn't break down on you after a couple of months. My last Cuisinart Coffee maker that I spent twice the amount of money on broke down 4 times within 3 years. Although the customer service was good, it is pain to have to pack & send the coffee maker back each time and wait for them to fix it or replace it. And with spending that kind of money for all the bells and whistles, the Cuisinart coffee maker did not make a good cup of coffee. So, I took a chance after seeing all the great reviews and bought this coffee maker that I can't even begin to pronounce the name of. When I first received it and pulled it out of the box, my first thought was that I made a big mistake because it felt kind of cheap. It is very basic and light weight. But now after four months of use I can tell you that it is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. It is easy to use, easy to program, makes your coffee super fast and the most important feature is that it makes a great cup of hot coffee. My only complaint would be that I wish it was bigger and made more coffee. Note: I did contact the manufacturer via their web site and you can order an extra coffee pot (carafe) directly from them so you may make another pot of coffee right away if you like. One warning; don't ever screw the top on too tight before making your coffee because it could be REALLY difficult to unscrew once you have made coffee in it.

This is possibly the best coffee pot we have ever owned. It brews a FULL pot of coffee in 3 minutes! So, I usually unload my dishwasher and by the time that is done, my coffee awaits! I don't like lukewarm coffee, and the warming plate keeps it HOT! You really do need to use filters designed for BUNN coffee makers, but they are readily available at local discount stores such as WalMart, KMart or Target stores, and they are no more expensive than store brands. The reason is they are slightly "taller" than the others and keeps the grounds in the filter basket rather than in the brewed coffee. I also find I can actually use less coffee and still have great tasting coffee (I think the brew time has something to do with that). The only drawback is that it does not have a timer to enable setting up the pot so you have fresh coffee ready when your alarm goes off, but with a brewing speed of 3 minutes for a full pot, it is a minor inconvenience. I would highly recommend this coffee maker for your home or office.

"As a college student, I tend to save coffee for the most dire situations, usually the nights of finals week. But I guess I'm getting older and I need some help staying up, so I decided to make the plunge in buying a coffee maker.

My roommate had left me behind a Black & Decker DLX900, which didn't really seem to make a great cup of coffee, not to mention how it was served almost lukewarm. I figured, I'd look into buying a machine that would last me for ages, not just my final semester. I had picked up a DeLonghi easy front access coffeemaker from target, but immediately returned it based on the same problem as Black and Decker (not warm enough coffee)

So I bought this Bunn coffee maker after reading the reviews, and I am so glad I did. It turns my Wegmans sumatra night into the smooth rich blend it's supposed to be, and I only had to wait a few minutes!
Quality seems quite alright, but time will tell. At least for now, I'm left with a good cup of coffee, even if this poor student has just dropped a huge chunk on a coffee machine - when I hardly drink coffee anyways.
